Winnipeg Somali Confederation Union

About us

Who we are

We provide culturally responsive programs, including settlement support, language training, employment readiness, youth mentorship, and community outreach initiatives.

Winnipeg Somali Confederation Union (WSCU) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to supporting new immigrants, refugees, and newcomers to Winnipeg, especially from the Somali community. Our organization offers a wide range of services to help families and individuals successfully integrate into Canadian society while celebrating and preserving their cultural heritage.

With firsthand understanding of the challenges that immigrants face—such as language barriers, unfamiliar systems, and cultural differences—we offer personalized support to help them overcome these hurdles and thrive.

Our core values include inclusivity, respect, cultural pride, and community empowerment. We work to build bridges between cultures, strengthen families, and promote economic independence through education and support.
