About Us

We provide programs, including settlement support, language training, employment readiness, youth mentorship, and community outreach initiatives.

Winnipeg Somali Confederation Union (WSCU) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to supporting new immigrants, refugees, and newcomers to Winnipeg, especially from the Somali community.

Our Services

we offer a variety of programs and services designed to support the successful integration and well-being of immigrants, refugees, and newcomers. Our culturally responsive services include:

Settlement

We help newcomers navigate their new environment with services that include housing support, government documentation assistance, school registration, and referrals to essential community services.

Language Support

We provide English language classes, conversation groups, and translation services in Somali and other languages to support both newcomers and service providers.

Career Services

Our services include job readiness training, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and networking opportunities

Youth Programs

Our youth programs promote leadership, academic success, and cultural identity. We offer after-school activities, mentorship, tutoring, and youth leadership camps.
